College of Design and Arts Achieves Academic Milestone with Full Program Accreditation

The College of Design and Arts has achieved a distinguished academic milestone—the first of its kind at the university—by securing full national program accreditation for two of its programs from Education and Training Evaluation Commission. This accomplishment reflects institutional excellence and the high quality of educational outcomes. The accredited programs are the Bachelor of Fashion Design and the Bachelor of Drawing and Arts.

This achievement is the result of integrated and sustained efforts undertaken by the college in collaboration with the Deanship of Quality and Development. These efforts included the enhancement of programs specifications, strengthening assessment practices, and aligning programs with national academic accreditation standards—contributing to improved educational effectiveness and the realization of the university’s strategic objectives. The college also benefited from the support of all deanships and supporting administrative units across the university.

The Deanship of Quality and Development emphasized that this accreditation marks a significant step in the university’s journey toward academic excellence, reflecting its commitment to adopting best practices in quality assurance and accreditation. The Deanship also reaffirmed its continued support for all colleges and academic programs in achieving national and international accreditations. Securing full accreditation for both programs serves as a strong motivation to sustain progress, achieve further successes, and reinforce a culture of quality and excellence across all university programs.
